Hornell, NY – A candidate for the sheriff’s position was announced Thursday afternoon in front of the Hornell police Dept. James Allarad from Clayton, NY will be running for the post. Allarad has quite an extensive background in criminal justice having served in the field for 28 years:
*Served as under sheriff Under Cole for last 3 ½ years
*28 years in law enforcement
*16 years as a Supervisor
*21 years in the Corning police dept leaving leaving as a lieutenant
*Ran the law Enforcement Academy at Corning Community College
Jim is also a veteran.
