Alstom to Help Hornell Concern for Youth

October 30th, 2017

HORNELL, NY – Representatives from Alstom Transportation visited the Hornell Concern for Youth Monday afternoon bearing some good news for the 40 plus year old organization. Employees Michelle Stein, Brad Myers, and Mike McDonald announced plans to help finish some ongoing projects, and assist in new ones by supplying manpower and financial support from the company. Also contributing to the project is LaBella Associates.

Renovations to the building have been well under way since a $66,000 grant was secured a while back, with new windows, floors, doors, bathrooms, and kitchen proposed for the near future. A new sprinkler system already has been installed along with a brand new conference/study room.

In attendance to welcome the good news were director Susan Hooker, board president Mike Colomaio, vice president Peggy Lynch, Paul Shepard, staff members, and Mayor Shawn Hogan.
