JAMESTOWN, NY – Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) and John Plumb (D, Jamestown) were at a meet the candidates forum last night in Chautauqua County last night. If the event was not officially labeled as a debate, it certainly turned in to one. Plumb said that Reed voted against the environment most of the time, Reed defended himself by saying that Plumb was being promoted by “outside groups”. Then at another point during the debate, Plumb slammed Reed about campaign contributions, and Red hit back at Plumb for not filling out the NRA’s questionnaire. Plumb explained that he did not have to fill out the NRA’s questionnaire, because his record and history of using guns was a strong one.
