ARKPORT, NY – Is 40 miles an hour too fast for Route 36 in Arkport? Mayor Charlie Flanders heard from an Arkport resident who says 40 is too fast.
Flanders says that it’s not an excessive speed, and that the village board will not work to lower the speed limit there.
In other Arkport news, the village board is going to apply for an additional $100,000 in grant money for water, a grant that officials believe they can get.
Also, the Arkport Village board wants to get into the new department of works building by the winter, but DPW Chief Bob Mauro says he doesn’t think that will happen.
