Arson Charges In Livingston County

MOUNT MORRIS, NY – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Mount Morris Police Department report that at 3:30am Saturday morning, there was a fire at 34 Main Street in Mount Morris.

Officials with the Mount Morris Police Department say that a suspect entered the closed business, stole several items, damaged several other items in an attempt to cover his tracks, and then set a fire in the middle of the building.

The police department in Mount Morris also reports that the fire was extinguished and the business was cleared.  A suspect named Taylor Walsh was arrested and charged with Burglary in the 3rd degree, Arson in the 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree.

Walsh is now in Livingston County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
