Bath Man Found Dead In Abandoned Corning House

CORNING, NY – There was an apparent homicide in the Steuben County City of Corning. State Troopers are reporting that Corning Police were called on Friday at about 6pm, to investigate an open door at a vacant dwelling on Pine Street, Corning. Officials say that a body was found in a kitchen cupboard, the second time that troopers went back to the building to investigate. According to State Police, the first time that officers entered the home, it was dark, as there was no power in the building, and that officers later returned during the daylight for further investigation.

Troopers say that the victim’s body was identified as Phillip Lough, 28, of Bath.

The suspects in the case are Ryan Jon Morrow, 20, from Corning and Jacob Andrew Horn, 23, of Painted Post.

Both Morrow and Horn are charged with murder in the second degree,and tampering with evidence.

The investigation continues.
