Betty Anne Erskine, formerly of Almond

ALMOND-Betty Anne Erskine, 85, of formerly Donnelly Rd., passed away Friday (October 24, 2014) at the Hornell Gardens.

 

Born in Bradford, PA, February 15, 1929, the daughter of Fred and Ruth Horton Watkins she had resided all her life in the Almond area. Betty worked as a Lawn and Garden Clerk from the former Agway in Hornell and helped on the family farm.

 

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Clifford in 2002, son-in-law John George in 2007 and great grandson, Clifford A. George in 2013.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie George of Almond. Three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Edward) Smith, Andrew (Heather) George and John George Jr, three great grandchildren, Erin Smith, Lucas Cady, and Stella George, one sister, Elberta Herbert, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 12Pm-1Pm on Thursday (Oct. 30, 2014), at the Bender – Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling hours at 1Pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Almond Woodlawn Cemetery.
