Brief Manhunt In Bath

October 26, 2017

BATH, NY – Bath Village Police are reporting that a 33 year old convicted sex offender, Brian Woodring, got away from a parole officer who was trying to take him into custody yesterday. Bath Village Police say that Woodring was quickly apprehended, and is now facing a felony escape charge.

Officials say he was wearing handcuffs when he got away from the parole officer, and the Bath schools were on lockdown during the escape. That happened yesterday, and the day before that, 27 year old Joshua Nichols of Addison went into the Steuben County Office Building. He was found to be wanted on a probation violation. The sheriff’s office says Nichols tried to flee, but was quickly apprehended.
