HORNELL, NY – Hornell Mayor John Buckley put his full support behind Tom Reed in the upcoming race for the 23rd Congressional District Monday morning at the Republican headquarters in Hornell.
Tom currently serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, the chief tax-writing committee, and is co-chair of the Problem Solver’s Caucus, a bipartisan group of dozens of members of Congress working to forge bipartisan cooperation on key issues. Tom is the endorsed Republican, Conservative and Independence Party candidate for U.S. Congress.
“Im especially proud of Tom,” said Buckley, “He is the most bi partisan politician you will find anywhere. Another thing that really impresses me about Tom is his willingness to do Town Halls. I think he has personally done over 250 Town Halls and as people may know, that is near and dear to my heart. And finally, without Tom’s tireless commitment to getting us a new hospital, it probably would have never materialized.”
Reed, who has served in the U.S. House since 2010, will face Democrat Tracy Mitrano of Penn Yan on November 6th.
