Buffalo Teen Charged With Armed Robbery In Alfred

ALFRED, NY – Alfred Village Police Chief Paul Griffith reports that a suspect has been apprehended, in an Alfred University armed robbery case, that happened in the 1am hour of Tuesday morning on the Alfred University campus. According to Police Chief Griffith, 18 year old Kashawn Pettway of Buffalo, is the suspect believed to have approached a parked vehicle, that was near Tefft Hall, who used a gun to take money from a male victim.

A Crossman 1911 BB gun was recovered in Pettway’s room at Alfred State College, during the investigation.

Alfred Village Police, Alfred University Public Safety, and the Alfred State University Police handled the investigation, and the Information Technology Services departments, were thanked for their assistance in this case.
