Drug Arrests In Canisteo

CANISTEO, NY – STATEMENT FROM CANISTEO POLICE CHIEF KYLE AMIDON:

On Wednesday December 19th, 2018 the Canisteo Village Police Department conducted a search warrant investigation at 20 Russell Street Apartment 201 in the Village of Canisteo with the assistance of the Hornell Police Department, New York State Police and Steuben County District Attorney’s Office. The Investigation resulted in the arrest of a Desmond T. McCullough (Age 30) of 186 South Hampton Drive in Rochester, NY, Isaac L. Wright (Age 45) of 20 Russell Street Apartment 201 in Canisteo, NY and Christopher M. Allman (Age 52) of 20 Russell Street Apartment 201 in Canisteo, NY. McCullough was charged for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Wright was charged for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Allman was charged for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. During the investigation law enforcement recovered approximately $750.00 of crack cocaine, over $1500.00 in cash, items containing crack cocaine residue, marijuana, along with electronic devices containing evidence pertaining to the investigation. McCullough and Wright were arraigned in Canisteo Village Court. McCullough was remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $20,000.00 cash/$40,000.00 property bail. Wright was remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash/ $1,000.00 property. Allman was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Canisteo Village Court at a later date. The Canisteo Village Police Department would like to command the assistance from the Hornell Police Department, New York State Police and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.
