Canisteo-Greenwood BOE Reflects on Living Sign Dedication

October 11, 2016

CANISTEO, N.Y. – “An overall success,” is how School superintendent Jeremy Palotti described the October 1st Living Sign ceremony at Tuesday night’s board meeting. “It was a nice community event and great way to bring the village together.” Palotti continued saying he had heard nothing but positive feedback from people in attendance and everyone was happy that the rain held off as long as it did. Also a big plus was that it was held on homecoming weekend and there were vendors, food, pony rides, and an assortment of entertainment.

Board president Mike Nesbit added that there were roughly 350 people in attendance, which in turn made it a good opportunity for school clubs to raise money. “I talked with me senior class,” said Nesbit, “And the fundraising went very well.” The entire board agreed that it would be nice to do something like this in the future.
