Canisteo Man Facing Drug Dealing Charges

Statement From Canisteo Police Chief Kyle Amidon:

On Tuesday April 30th, 2019 the Canisteo Village Police Department conducted a search warrant at the location of 18 North Street in the Village of Canisteo after receiving multiple complaints of drug activity taking place at the residence over the past few weeks. During the investigation the Canisteo Police Department arrested subject Michael J. DuBois (Age 30) of 18 North Street in Canisteo for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with intent to sell, 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Police Confiscated several drug paraphernalia items and packaging material. DuBois was transported to the Steuben County Jail to await arraignment. This investigation was conducted in joint effort by members of the Canisteo Village Police Department along with the New York State Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
