CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo officials were at the Hartsville Town Hall on Wednesday night, to explain why the cost of fire department service to Hartsville is increasing. Canisteo Mayor Bill Tucker told those present, that Canisteo won’t get a new fire truck, if the towns of Hartsville and Canisteo don’t help pay for it.
Also, Hartsville Town Supervisor-elect Mike Palmer was at the Wednesday night Hartsville meeting, objecting to the town board going into executive session at next month’s meeting, to look at resumes, for a Hartsville town position that’s being going to be filled. Hartsville officials argued that it will be a legal executive session.
