Appearing on Chris Cuomo’s show on CNN on Wednesday, Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) defended his vote against sending a resolution to President Trump, condemning pulling the troops out of Syria. Reed maintains that he voted against the resolution, because he is against sending troops without a congressional vote. CNN’s Chris Cuomo argued that it was a betrayal of both the Kurds and the U.S. military. Reed argued back, that those who voted for the resolution against the president’s position, would be the same types who say that military action must be approved by congress.
