ALBANY, NY – State Senator Cathy Young says that coming up in April there will be a Civil Service test for those who want to become New York State Corrections Officers.
The test will be on April 9th.
“Starting salary for a trainee is $40,590 and after completion of the one-year traineeship, the salary increases to $48,889,” said Senator Young.
Exam registration is open until February 24 and can be completed by visiting online.
