Due to the impending wind chill temperatures at mid-day – we will be dismissing early on Wednesday, January 30th. The dismissal time and procedures will match our typical half-day schedule with students being dismissed at 11:30am.

From Alfred-Almond School Superintendent Rich Calkins:
A-A is currently on a wait and see mode. We are actually more concerned with Thursday then tomorrow. We bus all of our students, and all of the buses are kept inside. Drivers have been notified to give extra time for transition so students may remain in their houses longer etc.

Message From The Arkport Central Website:
Hello, Arkport families. In preparation for the cold temperatures, the Arkport Central School District is taking the following precautions. First, we are asking all bus riders to wait inside until buses arrive at stops. Also, bus drivers have been instructed to pick up any student they see walking. Second, we will be closing the Arkport campus for lunch. This means students that are normally allowed to leave for lunch will need to remain in school. Lastly, all after school activities will be canceled for Wednesday, January 30. Please contact the school tomorrow morning with any weather-related student questions
