Congressman Tom Reed Slams FCC Chairman For Not Appearing Before The House

February 25, 2015

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Drudge Report has a story today about how FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler would not appear before the House Committee on Oversight to talk about net neutrality yesterday afternoon.

The FCC’s vote on net neutrality is going to be held today.

Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) is on the Oversight Committee, and when we asked Reed for his reaction to Wheeler not showing up today, Reed responded to our question by email:

“It is serious when any administration official refuses to speak to Congress. The FCC’s new rules on regulating the internet affect everyone and there must be accountability and transparency. That is something this President ran on and something that I believe strongly in.”
