Democrat John Plumb Has Raised $225,351 So Far

October 15, 2015

JAMESTOWN, NY – Democrat candidate for Congress John Plumb says he’s raised $225,351.05 between his entrance in the race in July and the end of the third quarter on September 30th.
Plumb also notes that he has $205,261.46 cash on hand.

Plumb, who has not previously run for public office, says that he has already outpaced all past Democratic challengers against Congressman Tom Reed for the same period during the election cycle.

“As a native of Western New York, I’m proud of the grassroots support my campaign is building from the ground up,” said Plumb. “Our early momentum is yet another example of frustration with politicians like Congressman Tom Reed, who supported fast tracking a secret trade deal that could potentially harm working families and gut our local economy, and even played politics with our national security by voting to shut down the Department of Homeland Security.”

“Across the district, I’ve heard from middle-class families and small business owners that the Southern Tier is struggling, and that they want a leader in Congress who will help bring jobs to the region – a leader who will put service before self, and place our communities and our country before politics. That’s what I’ve done my entire career serving my country as a submarine officer in the Navy and a defense policy advisor at the highest levels, and what I will continue to do in Congress.”
