HORNELL,NY – Hornell Deputy Mayor John Buckley issued the following statement about St. James Hospital:
“This is wonderful news for Hornell and surrounding communities. Residents can now look forward to uninterrupted healthcare services at St James. Maternity is a major piece of the puzzle and I will continue to advocate for those essential services to be maintained as well.”
Buckley is talking about the Friday afternoon announcement that St. James will have about 460 employees at the Independent St. James Hospital, far less layoffs than originally anticipated.
