NAPLES, Fla./HORNELL-Diane Gratton Kimball of Naples, Fla., formerly of Hornell, went to be with the Lord on Sunday (July 19, 2015) in Naples, Fla.
She was born in Hornell on Nov. 25, 1933 and was a daughter of Joseph and Helen Coogan Gratton.
Diane was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, William F. “Bill” Kimball; her children, Joseph Kimball of Bonita, Fla., Daniel Kimball of Ft. Myers, Fla., Andrew (Susan) Kimball of Naples, Fla., Nancy Kimball Countryman of Hornell and William Kimball of Ventura, Calif.; her two grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Kimball; her four great-grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Hannah and Alissa Countryman all of Byron, N.Y.; her sister, Michelle Gratton (Richard) Mitchell of Inverness, Fla.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Ellen Kimball and her two grandsons, Christopher Boisvert and Matthew Countryman.
Diane was sensitive, witty and had a dry sense of humor that kept you laughing; she will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Her favorite pastimes were reading, using the computer and enjoying several crafts.
She was employed at the Collier County Health Department in Naples, Fla. as a supervisor until she retired in 1999.

Calling hours are 4-6 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 5, 2015) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a prayer service will be held in her memory following calling hours at 6 p.m. Wednesday with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Fremont.
