Former Hartsville Town Attorney Might Sue Town Board

June 21, 2018

HARTSVILLE, NY – There will be a public hearing about proposed changes to the Hartsville Wind Law, on Wednesday June 27, at 7pm, at the Hartsville Town Hall. At the last Hartsville meeting, former Hartsville Town Attorney David Pullen said if the town board changes the wind law, without going through the SEQR (environmental quality review process), he will sue the Hartsville town board.

Hartsville Town Supervisor John Bowles says the new Hartsville wind law is a combination of eight wind laws in Steuben County, and that the hartsville town board’s new wind law is adequate for Hartsville’s needs. Bowles also says that Pullen, because he is the former town attorney, has no business representing someone who is adversarial towards the town of Hartsville. The current town attorney is Peter Degnan.
