John Hasper of Belfast has died. He succumbed this weekend in Florida. The news broke on social media from family. Curt Crandall of Belfast, who chairs the Allegany County Legislature and was a neighbor to John, issued this statement Sunday afternoon:
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of John Hasper, as is out entire Board of Legislators, past and present. Our thoughts and prayers go out to John’s wife and the Hasper family. John played a key role in the progression of Allegany County. John’s knowledge and involvement in local affairs with be deeply missed.”
Hasper was a NYS Assemblyman, from 1987-1992.
