Guard In Livingston County Accused of Smuggling K2

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, NY – State Police, the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations, have arrested Livingston Correctional Facility Correction Officer Raul Santiago, age 38. Santiago is charged with for Bribe Receiving 3rd Degree, Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, and Official Misconduct. Officials say that Santiago was being paid by an inmate? to bring Synthetic Marijuana (also known as K2) into the prison. DOCCS OSI and State Police apprehended Mr. Santiago as he reported for his overnight shift on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Santiago was arraigned at the Livingston County Regional court and was remanded to the Livingston County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. The investigation is continuing.
