Hornell Attorney Bill Pulos Sends Letter To Gov. Cuomo About Closing Workers Comp Board

October 28, 2014

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Attorney Bill Pulos has sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo, requesting that the state rethink the closure of the Workers Compensation Hearing Site, an office, which was located in the Henderson Building in Hornell, until it closed in November of 2013.

Pulos says this is his fifth letter/email to the governor’s office on this topic.

According to Pulos, Hornell was one of eight sites that was closed in 2013.  We asked the attorney why he believed this has been happening.  “In rural counties, such as Steuben, Allegany, Livingston, and the like, the state is making it much more difficult for injured working people to have a face-to-face hearing on their case,” Pulos said.  “We continue to hope that the governor will help his rural constituents and turn this decision around.”

We have contacted the governor’s office on this, and as soon as we get a reply, we’ll post it online and on the air.
