Hornell Man Accused of Selling Heroin and Cocaine

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Police Investigator Tom Aini reports that Gregory Ellis, 43, of 25 Dennis Avenue, is accused of selling both heroin and cocaine from his residence. The investigator says that this arrest, which was made on Friday, follows a three month investigation into Ellis. Police say that after executing a search warrant issued by Judge Coddington, Ellis was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Ellis was held in Hornell City Lock-up and arraigned this morning in front of Judge Coddington, and remanded to Steuben County Jail without bail.
Investigator Aini says that Hornell Police were assisted by the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department and New York State Police. According to Aini, further charges are pending.
