Hornell Budget Hearing/Two Candidates Going For Scavo Seat

HORNELL, NY – There was a public hearing on the Hornell School budget last night. The 35.5 million dollar budget that is proposed, is a 3.99 % increase over the previous years’ budget.
The budget vote will be on Tuesday May 20, from noon til 9 pm in the Hornell High School lobby
In other Hornell school board news, school board President Richard Scavo is leaving the school board after five years of service including holding the office of Board President for the last two years. Running for the Scavo seat are two longtime residents; Ralph Berardi, and Judith Rose.
