Hornell Woman Accused Of Manslaughter, Over Her Baby’s Drug Death

HORNELL, NY – State Police have charged Britney Updyke, 30, of Hornell, for the death of her baby, Bryson Hunt, who died about four years ago. District Attorney Brooks Baker reports that the investigators say that Bryson died from Bath Salts and Fentynal in June of 2013. The d.a. says Britney Updyke is charged with 2nd degree manslaughter. She is also in trouble for allegedly failing to tell medical professionals about her drug addiction problems, at the time of Bryson’s birth. Officials say that the baby died within hours of being born.
