BATH, NY – Politicians and future political candidates will want to know about this one: the Steuben County Board of Elections is giving a three hour class to political candidates on Tuesday, June 2, from 9am-12pm. It will be at the Civil Defense Building in Bath, 7220 State Route 54, Bath.
This is going to be a very important class for those who will be candidates running for office. Here’s why: if you’re a local politician or want to run for office in the future, you’ll learn about how candidates have to file their financial campaign disclosures with the state elections board. If candidates don’t do that, or file the required corrections when told to do, the candidates could be fined $10,000.
