Jenetta Price, of Canisteo/Cameron

CANISTEO/CAMERON-Jenetta Price passed away June 29, 2018 of natural causes following a brief illness.

Jenetta was born October 21, 1984, in Hornell to John H. and Sheryl (Benjamin) Price.

Jenetta was a member of the class of 2002 at St. Ann’s and Hornell High schools.
She attended Alfred State and Empire State colleges earning an A.S. degree with honors in “Community and Human Services”. She continued in that field for her B.S. degree at Cazenovia College, where she received an Academic Scholarship and was inducted into “Tau Upsilon Alfa” National Honor Society.

Jenetta was a wonderful, loving and dedicated mother who always focused on her son’s best interests.

She was a genuine loving, empathetic, intelligent person with an old soul and a huge heart.

Her interests included: music, art, travel, festivals, world affairs, psychology, family, friends, animals, people in general and a desire for kindness and fairness among all.

She lived life big and fit so much into the short 33 years we were blessed to have her with us.

Jenetta is survived by her beloved 21 month old son, Jackson T. Robinson, Cameron; her mother, Sherry (Benjamin) Price, Myrtle Beach, SC; her father, John H. (Mary Jo) Price; her sister and forever best friend, Amberly Price; sister, Dawn Porter; brother, Mike Price; sister-in-law, Dawn Price; “soul sister”, Janina Ackerman; all of Canisteo. Jackson’s father, Scott Robinson and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, special friends, and her
“festival family”.

Among those who predeceased her are her brother, David Price and maternal grandmother, Ruth J. (“Nanny”) Wright.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Friday, July 6, 2018 at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St. in Canisteo, where a memorial service will take place immediately following calling hours at 6 pm.
