Buckley Becomes Deputy Mayor – Video

HORNELL N.Y. – Monday night the Hornell Common council with Mayor Shawn Hogan’s recommendation, appointed ninth ward Alderman John Buckley (R) to the position of deputy mayor.
The position has a term that expires in two years. Mayor Hogan cited Buckley’s interest in learning how the government works noting that Buckley has shown interest in the position and has exhibited growth over the last couple of years. Buckley remarked on how far he has come in four years with
the Hornell government, noting his ability to work together across the political lines to get things done for the betterment of the City of Hornell.
