The Corning Leader reports that Hornell native, former State Trooper and Hornell School Board President John McNelis, has been named Steuben County Undersheriff, by Sheriff-Elect Jim Allard. “We are excited to have a person of John’s experience and ability join the team at the Sheriff’s Office,” Allard said. “We look forward to working with John and continuing to provide professional law enforcement services to the residents of Steuben County.”
