Jon Pat Feenaughty, of Canisteo

CANISTEO: Jon Pat Feenaughty, 75, of Stephens St. passed away Thursday (April 16, 2015) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. after an extended illness.

 

Pat was born July 22, 1939 in Canisteo to Clifford A. and Elva Madelene (Symonds) Feenaughty. On June 18, 1960 in Hornell he married the former Marilynn Murray who survives and resides in Canisteo. In addition to his parents Pat was predeceased by three grandchildren, Shane McDaniels, Amanda and Tracey Feenaughty.

 

Pat was a graduate of Canisteo Central School and the Rochester Business Institute. He had worked at Steuben Trust Company in Hornell for over 40 years retiring as Vice President in 2002. He was a life member, past Governor and Administrator of Lodge 210 Hornell Moose Club, a social member of the Hornell Elks Club and a charter member of the Hornell Lions Club and also a member of the American Banking Association. Aside from his civic memberships Pat enjoyed gardening many varieties of flowers, he also loved to travel and spend time camping with his family and friends.

 

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Marilynn Feenaughty of Canisteo, Pat is survived by four sons: Kevin and Clara Feenaughty of San Antonio, Tx., their children: Cody and Sydney, Christopher and Juliana Feenaughty of Cohocton, their children: Heather, Alexander and Benjamin, Jon Eric and Donna Feenaughty of Purdy Creek, their children: Brandon, Brianne and Colin, and Steven Glassman of NYC. Two daughters: Aimee McDaniels of Canisteo and her children: Todd, Brian and Katlyn and Anita and Rickie Howland of Fredericksburg, VA., their children: Nicholas and Rene’ O’Dell, Susan and Victor Howland, and 14 great grandchildren.

 

Pat is also survived by a sister: Joyce Macaluso of Hornell, three brothers: Ledale (Rose) Feenaughty of Bolivar, Lynn (Sharon) Feenaughty of Pheonix, AZ. and Gerald (Phyllis) Feenaughty of Savona and several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 29 East Main St. in Canisteo with a Moose service to take place at 8:30 pm. A funeral service will take place Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
