HORNELL, NY – Leslie Danks Burke made an appearance Monday morning at coffee hot spot Brandy’s Cup of Joe. Burke is a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 58 of the New York State Senate who will be running against current republican senator Thomas O’Mara. District 58 covers all or portions of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tompkins, and Yates counties.
Burke was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 23rd Congressional District of New York. She lost in the primary.
