Lucille G. Stewart, formerly of Canisteo
Canisteo-Lucille G. Stewart, 91, formerly of South Elm Street, passed away Monday (July 28, 2014) at McAuley Manor.
Born in Hornell, December 12, 1922, the daughter of Seth and Myrtle Amelia Haight, she had resided all her life in the Canisteo area. Lucille was a graduate of the former Canisteo Academy Class of 1941 had been employed as a spinner & winder for the Stern & Stern Textiles. She was a member of the Canisteo Wesleyan Church. She
In addition to her parents Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Watson W. Stewart in 1972, brother, Victor Haight and sister Marguerite Fallon.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Stewart and Kenneth Stewart both of Canisteo, one daughter, Mary (George Jones) Krisher of Canisteo, grandchildren, Scott Krisher, Kelli (Tim) Panter, Candice (Doug) Walker, Kathryn (Tim) Martin, Shawn (Melissa) Stewart, Heather (John) Adams, Todd (Bri) Stewart and Kyle (Samantha VanZile) Stewart, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday (July 30, 2014) from 6-8Pm, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11Am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Don Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Town Line Cemetery, Cameron Mills.
