M. Eileen (Linehan) White, of Hornell

HORNELL-M. Eileen (Linehan) White, 67, of Pardee St., passed away peacefully early Saturday morning (Sept. 30, 2017) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Hornell on Aug. 18, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Vera (Talbot) Linehan. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Rose Linehan.

A graduate of St. Ann’s School and Hornell High School, Eileen also attended SUNY Brockport and St. James Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Hornell where she earned her Registered Nurse certification and became a long-time employee of St. James Mercy Hospital.

Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed spending time with her family as well as sewing, quilting and baking.

Her loving family includes her two children, Patrick White of Hornell and Megan (Eric) Bengtson of Old Saybrook, Conn.; her four grandchildren, Robert, Libby, Grace and David; her sister, Abby Ruth Terreri of Guilford, Conn.; her four brothers, John (Stella) Linehan of Kendall, Thomas (Mary Jane) Linehan of Dansville, Patrick (Joanne) Linehan of Fairport and Daniel (Sharon) Linehan of Chili; also, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of M. Eileen (Linehan) White.

There will be an hour of calling from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 5, 2017) at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell, where a funeral service will be held following the hour of calling at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Private committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Fremont.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to their favorite charity.
