Mayor Recognizes City Employee

January 26th, 2018

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Mayor John Buckley kicked off his City Employee Recognition Program Thursday morning by honoring a long serving Hornell fireman/paramedic for the award. According to the Mayor, a city employee will be designated for the award once a month.

Captain Frank Brzozowski, who has been an integral part of the fire department and ambulatory crew since 1992, was the first recipient of the Employee Spotlight Award. “Frank really embodies what it is to be a public servant,” said Buckley, “He goes above and beyond what is required of him as a paramedic and firefighter. He has also been an integral part in securing grants for various programs and equipment throughout the years.”

Buckley concluded, “It’s really not my decision who receives this award, it will be the department heads that make that decision and then I will formally recognize them.”
