HORNELL, NY – The Hornell Common Council has accepted the resignation of third ward Republican Alderman Randy Harkenrider, and the council appointed Republican Joseph McKay to take Harkenrider’s place.

The council has also passed a reworded version of a 2.3 million dollar bond to pay for upgrades to the city’s waste and water treatment plant, Mayor Hogan notes this will make the maple city water treatment plant a more “green” energy efficient operation.
