From Hornell Mayor John Buckley:
A quick note on high grass in the parks and throughout the City. The company that is milling and paving Main St. and Seneca St. moved up their timeline for completion by a full month (which is good news). To accommodate their accelerated schedule, the City had to deploy all available recourses to the make sure manholes and water boxes are at the appropriate height before the new surface is put in place. This means that many of the DPW employees who normally would be mowing had to be reassigned. As we finish up the prep work on the streets that are being repaved, we will turn our attention to back to high grass.
