Michael J. Cole, of Canisteo

CANISTEO-Michael J. Cole, 50, of 45 West Main Street, passed away Friday (May 1, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

 

Born in Hornell, June 8, 1964, the son of Robert and Linda Willey Cole, he had resided in the Canisteo area all his life. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School and was employed in the Maintenance Department at Alfred State College.

 

Mike was an all around “Fix It Man”, who could fix or repair anything. He was an avid photographer, and had a knack for sensing the perfect shot resulting in a perfect photo.

 

He is survived by wife, Michele Cole of Canisteo, his parents, Bob and Linda Cole of Canisteo, his daughters, Sara Cole of Corning, Kaitlin (Autumn) Resides of Rochester, and Danielle Cole of Corning, his sons, Matthew (Elizabeth) Cole of Wellsville, Kyle Jacobs of Niagara Falls and Matthew Jacobs of Canisteo, his sisters, Mary (Barry) Thompson of Greenwood, Jane (Ron Rhude) Lorow of Hornell, and Deanna (Chet Bull) Cole of East Greenbush, NY, his brother, Robert (Renee) Cole Jr, of Mass., his grandson, Emmett Cole, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Mike’s Memorial Service at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo on Wednesday at 11 AM. Pastor Doug Jones will officiate.
