Sheriff Jim Allard is requesting the help of the public regarding a reported missing person. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the report of a missing person, Alexis Hostrander, age 16. Alexis was reported missing by her family on December 13, 2018, from her residence in the Town of Corning. It was reported that Alexis ran out of her residence, and ran to a waiting unknown vehicle, leaving the area. Alexis is known to have a medical condition which may cause seizures. Alexis may be in the Elmira area. Her family is concerned for her safety and welfare, as well as her medical condition. Alexis is a white female, approximately 5’0”, 100lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing a yellow hoodie, black Adidas sweat pants with a blue stripe on the side, pink sneakers, and carries a small pink backpack.
