HORNELL, NY – Hornell Mayor John Buckley officially filled his last Commissioner’s seat on the Board of Public Works Thursday morning by swearing in Jared Zigenfus. Zigenfus, who is filling in the seat of Stan Hill, will finish his term and in all likeliness fill in many more terms in the future.
Buckley added, “It’s very difficult to find someone to fill in on these boards because they are voluntary, and I am especially grateful to have someone with Jared’s experience taking over.”
Zigenfus added that he was thankful for being nominated and looks forward to contributing to making Hornell a better place to live. He currently works management for the DOT and has held that position for 12 years.
