ALBANY, NY – A new report out from the Center of Economic Growth has named Hornell the second fastest growing city in New York State.
“This is something we should all be proud of. While much of the State continues to lose population, the City of Hornell is actually adding population,” said Hornell Mayor John Buckley. “Our local economy is growing with manufacturing leading the way. While Alstom continues to be a leader, businesses of all sizes are succeeding. Our downtown is more vibrant than it has been in many years with more and more people shopping and frequenting eateries.”
“I believe we are just getting started and there are more good things to come. The future looks bright for Hornell.”
Hornell IDA Director Jim Griffin says this report is a tremendous boost.
