Police Chief Griffith: This Is Not A Widespread Problem

February 13, 2017

ALFRED, NY – Appearing this morning on the 1480 Club, Wellsville Regional News website reporter, longtime Allegany County reporter Michael Baldwin told John Lewis that Police Chief Paul Griffith says that there is no reason for widespread alarm or fear, because of the Saturday night stabbing on Mill Street in Alfred. “Chief Griffith wanted to make sure that the community knew that there is no community wide danger.”

This follows news that a male Alfred State College student was stabbed in the leg in the 2am hour on Sunday morning, and that a male student with a knife was seen going into Shults Hall.
