Reed Says No To Allowing Heroin Injection Centers

August 25, 2017

BATH, NY – Standing outside the Steuben County Offices on Thursday, Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) spoke about how he was re-introducing the HELP act (Help Ensure Lives are Protected) that would give the courts the ability to give the toughest sentences possible to drug dealers when there’s a fatal overdose from fentynal laced heroin. During the press conference, a person who identified herself as being from Ithaca, began asking Reed numerous questions about possibly changing his position on whether to legalize heroin injection centers. She also asked Reed if he had been in contact with anyone from Van Couver regarding that issue, and she seemed to want Reed to go along with legalizing heroin injection centers for America.
