Joint Press Release from the City of Hornell and Hornell City School District:
As a school and community, ensuring school safety and safety among our youth is our chief priority. Recently, we have heard comments and statements that could be construed as threats. In each case, law enforcement has been contacted immediately and has thoroughly investigated each threat.
Students and parents should be aware that comments, even made in jest, will be investigated thoroughly and treated seriously. If you have concerns or have heard of threats made, we ask that you contact law enforcement at 911 immediately.
The Hornell City School District will continue to follow our established protocol and maintain ongoing collaboration with the City and the Hornell Police Department as needed.
