Steuben and Allegany County Primary Results

STEUBEN/ALLEGANY COUNTIES, NY – In Steuben County, former Hartsville Town Board member Maddie Parini appears to have defeated incumbent Katherine Burdick, by a vote of 9 to 8, but no word yet on absentee ballots in that very close race.

In Bath, James Burns beats Michael Horton for the Town Judge job, 55 percent to 43 percent.

Governor Andrew Cuomo won the statewide primary.  Cuomo carried Steuben County with 50.99 percent, Teachout 41.50%. Albany comedian Randy Credico got 7.19 percent. For Steuben County, Kathy Hochul 59.43%, and Tim Wu got 40%.

Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan was pleased with the governor’s numbers.  “The majority of Democrats in this state are very happy with what the governor has been doing, and they responded by giving their overwhelming support,” Hogan told WLEA News on Tuesday night.

In Steuben County, 959 total votes in the governor’s race.
In Allegany County, Cuomo won with 55.29%, Teachout got 36.72%.  Hochul won with 61%, Tim Wu 38% in Allegany County.
