Steuben Co. Jail Inmate Charged For Selling Drugs Back in September In Hornell

HORNELL, NY – From Hornell Police Investigator Sgt. Tom Aini:

Hornell Police announce the arrest of Justin L. Hand, age 31, a current inmate and former resident at 282 Walnut Street, Hornell, New York for two (2) counts each of Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance on or near school grounds. (All class B felonies)
Hand was arrested at the Steuben County Jail on a superior court warrant of arrest related to two sales of the narcotic drug cocaine that occurred at his former residence in September of 2018, and this residence being within 1000 feet of a elementary school property.
Hand was arraigned in Steuben County Court and was remanded back to the Steuben County jail without bail. Hand is also being held related to his arrest on October 20th, 2018 for felony DWI, felony DWAI drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child less than (17) years of age.
Hornell Police were assisted in this investigation by Investigators with the Steuben County District Attorney’s office and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.
