Trooper’s Name Released

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – Governor Andrew Cuomo just announced that State Trooper Nick Clark, 29, a Troupsburg native, was killed in the line of duty this morning near Corning, on Welch Road in the Town of Erwin, by a suicidal man who then turned the gun on himself. The suicidal suspect was a 43 year old male, Steven Kiley. Troopers say that Kiley was a local school principal, and the Bradford Central School website shows a Steven Kiley was the principal there at Bradford.

Nick Clark was well known in the area for his spectacular years on the Alfred Football team.
