From The Allegany County Health Office:
The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) has offered random COVID-19 testing to our employees.
On November 25, 19 ACDOH staff were tested for COVID-19 resulting in 5 positives. One person was identified
as symptomatic prior to testing and recovered at home. The other 4 were asymptomatic upon testing, and they
were immediately sent home. On December 2, 13 ACDOH staff were tested for COVID-19 and all were negative.
The positive cases identified at the ACDOH have not impacted our ability to hold rapid testing clinics, and our
many services continue day to day. Like the public, our employees were ordered to isolate at home for 10 days,
and all contacts were identified. We appreciate the public’s patience and respecting our employees’ privacy during
this time.
